About one litre of water is consumed by a human being unconsciously with nutrition. The rest, ideally 2 litres, has to be consumed via drinking.
- It is important to drink before feeling the need for it, before feeling thirsty. Thirst is already an alarm of the body and shows that the deficit of water is serious.
- To be on the safe side, you should – if possible – drink at least 2 litres every day. Hardworking people and sportive people should have the waterbottle always handy. The amount needed can double or even triple quite quickly.
- The preference is on water with a high level of hydrogen carbonate, like Staatl. Fachingen MEDIUM or STILL.
- Drink in regular intervals like every 1,5 hours 200ml (an ordinary glass). Coffee, tea or alcohol are not suited to regulate the water balance. To every cup of coffee or tea a glass of water is essential.
- Have a glass of water before having breakfast – that vitalises the organism and makes you wide awake.
- Also in conferences, meetings, seminars mineral water should always be at dispense to keep the mental performance going.
- Water is a must at sports – it substitutes the loss of water due to physical exercise immediately.
